AI email help that never leaves your house.

InferenceMail is a desktop email app whose AI runs on your own computers at home, so your mail is never sent to a hosted AI.

A Webspinner product. Works with Gmail today; more later.

The 90-second tour

0:00 / 1:30
Ninety seconds, narrated, recorded in the real app with a fictional demo mailbox. No real email appears.

What it does, quietly

Eight things InferenceMail does for you, all of them on your own machine.

01

Local AI, never hosted

The AI runs on your own computers at home and never sends mail to a hosted AI.

02

An inbox that opens instantly

Mail is saved locally, so the inbox opens at once instead of waiting on a server.

03

Topic, purpose and priority

Each email is labelled with a topic, a purpose and a priority from 1 to 100, and you can override any of it.

04

Your colours, your sort

Choose a colour for each topic, then sort by topic or by priority, whichever suits the morning.

05

A To do box above each email

Calls to action and due dates are listed above the email, so the ask is the first thing you see.

06

Earlier emails, summarised

A summary of the earlier related emails shows you exactly which emails it used.

07

One-click reply drafts

Draft in your own style: short, detailed, say yes, politely decline, or your own instruction. Nothing is ever sent by itself.

08

You can see what it is doing

The status shows which local model is working, by name and how much, and an activity window shows what the app is doing.

Your mail stays home

Most AI email tools work by shipping your correspondence to someone else's data centre. InferenceMail does the opposite: the models run on the computers you already own, and the mail is saved locally on your machine.

It is built on open-source software and open-weight models, so there is no mystery about what is running or where it runs.

  • No hosted AI. The local AI never sends mail to a hosted AI.
  • Saved locally. Your mail lives on your machine, which is also why the inbox opens instantly.
  • Nothing sent by itself. The AI drafts; you read, edit and send.
  • Open foundations. Built on open-source and open-weight models.

How it works

Three steps, and none of them involve handing your mail to a stranger.

Connect your mail

Add your account and InferenceMail saves your mail locally, so the inbox opens instantly. Gmail works today; more later.

Your own computers do the thinking

The local AI labels each email with a topic, a purpose and a priority from 1 to 100, and you can override any of it.

Read, draft, decide

See the To do box and the related-email summary, then draft a reply in your own style. Nothing is ever sent by itself.

Questions, answered plainly

Does my email get sent to a hosted AI?

No. The AI runs on your own computers at home, and it never sends mail to a hosted AI. Your mail stays on your machines.

Where is my mail stored?

Mail is saved locally, so the inbox opens instantly instead of waiting on a server.

Can the AI send a reply without me?

Never. One click drafts a reply in your own style, and you read it, edit it and send it yourself. Nothing is ever sent by itself.

What does the AI label, and can I change it?

Each email gets a topic, a purpose and a priority from 1 to 100. You can override any of it, choose your own topic colours, and sort by topic or by priority.

Which email accounts work today?

Gmail works today, with more providers to come.

What is InferenceMail built on?

Open-source software and open-weight models. The status shows which local model is working, by name and how much, and an activity window shows what the app is doing.
